About me: First and foremost, I’d love to start by saying hello and tell you a little about myself. I have been a hairstylist for 4 years, graduating from Capri College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I specialize in Balayage, Makeup Application, Special Occasion Updos/Long Hair Styles, and Men’s Cuts.
I currently live in Shellsburg, Iowa, where I was born and raised. I have a 9 year old daughter whom I love to spend my free time with. In April of 2021 we will be welcoming our precious baby boy, Onyx to our family. Along with quality family time, I enjoy doing puzzles with my boyfriend Nate, exploring new makeup techniques, and singing.

About Me: Růže is a plant based spa that offers cruelty free, massage and esthetic services. Owner and practitioner, Courtney Bergen, is a massage therapist, esthetician and lash technician providing every service you need to look and feel your best.
Růže is a tribute to Courtney’s family, the Ruzicka’s, who are immigrants from Czechoslovakia that settled in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1910. Ruzicka, meaning rosebud in Czech, inspired the name Růže meaning rose, a nod to Courtney’s Czech heritage and the embodiment of her personal and professional growth from a rosebud into a fully bloomed rose.
Růže is knowing where you came from and blooming into a creation of your own.

About Me:
I became a hairstylist because I wanted a career where I got to be creative… I got so much more than that.
I love my job today because I get to be a day maker. I pride myself on listening to my guests needs and giving them the best result possible. My favorite part of the service is handing them the mirror, turning them around, and seeing their face when they see their hair for the first time.
I grew up here in Cedar Rapids and started cosmetology school in June 2010. I started just one short month after graduating high school because I couldn’t wait to get started. I dove head first into honing my craft and soaking up all of the knowledge I could.
